Within the framework of local rules (company law, accounting law, tax law, social laws, etc.) the jobholders handles the mission of:
- Managing the accounts of the company
Responsable for keeping the accounts ledgers (book journal entries, monthly closing, perform accounts analysis and banks reconciliations) review the proper use of the chart of accounts, in respect of the accounting principles and methods, and local Spanish accounting obligations. He/she works with the help of the Finance controller to establish the shcedules, methods and systems to ensure that all relevant financial data is compiled, regularized and declared in due time. It includes the intercompany reconciliations.
He/she prepares the annual financial statements; attends the auditors, regarding the review of the year-end corporate reporting package, and for statutory financial statement.
- Participating in tax issues of the company: he/she prepares the calculation for payment, and presentation for all the taxes (VAT, IRPF, et.) under the guidance of the finance controller, he/she prepares the documentation supporting the transfer price report required by the local tax authority on annual basis (if necessary). In general, help the financial controller to ensure the tax compliance with the local laws (notably: respect of deadline, adequacy and completeness of the data and supporting documentation, feeling the tax returns, managing the external advisors, involvement in all tax audits). Help the financial controller to forecast tax planning for the cash-flow preparation.
- Participating in strengthening the internal control environment of the company: ensure the application of accounting and banking SOP's, as well as purchasing, sales, inventory management, FA's management, treasury and cash. Insure a proper separations of functions. He/she raises any alerts and risks of misconduct and fraud.
