Front office application development (primarily in C++, but also Java and C#) and 2nd line support for global Fixed Income systems in Tokyo

Department Overview:
Fixed Income IT is a front office focused group delivering solutions for the largest business line. Tokyo FI IT is an integral part of the group and has a series of challenging deliverables for 2011 with business expansion in the Asia Pacific region.

Main Duties:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on several front office systems and will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle for each project on which they work.
Tasks will include: gathering requirements from traders, development, testing, release and subsequent 2nd line support. This role offers an excellent learning opportunity to understand multiple aspects of Fixed Income trading. Work closely with colleagues in London and New York will be essential to ensure the best solution is delivered in a timely fashion by sharing components and experience.

Other Requirements:
- Degree in numerate discipline
- Technology and financial qualifications as undergraduate or postgraduate
- At least 1 year in front office technology group

Skills / Aptitude Required:
- C++
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Skills / Aptitude Preferred:
- Java
- C#
- Experience of working on large, multi-threaded, distributed and complex projects; Fixed Income knowledge

Languages:
