Risk Manager Leading Belfast/Dublin

Client:
* Abacus Professional Recruitment has been retained by a leading Global Bank to recruit for a Manager - Risk Models. Our client has the immediate need for a candidate that has experience in building Risk Models. Ideally you will have experience in Retail Banking. Although candidates coming from other industries such as pharmaceuticals, government and academia are welcome if they have experience of high level predictive modelling.

Role:
* Maintenance, monitoring and development of capital and operational models
* Ensuring all capital and operational models are operating optimally
* Ensuring that all lives models are within Group governance and adhere to relevant group policies
* Building and enhancing score based strategies and supporting business development of score based operational credit strategies
* Represent management team in representing risk at various technical fora

Requirements :


Specification:
* Extensive risk modelling experience to include: operational (application and behavioural scorecards) and capital (Basel 2) models
* At least 3 years practical experience of developing, delivering and supporting sophisticated risk models, tools and methodologies in a business environment or experience of building predictive models within a pharmaceutical, government, academia etc.
* Ideally you will have 5 years experience in a managerial role
* The ideal candidate will hold a numerical, business or finance degree and preference will be given to candidates that hold an MSc or PhD in a numerical or computing discipline.
* A high level of SAS knowledge and working know how (programming and modelling) is essential for this role
