Description :
Client:
* Abacus Professional Recruitment have been retained by one of the UK's leading banks to recruit for a Risk Analyst for their Belfast office. The role has become available due to continued focus in this area and confidence gaining through the banking sector.
Role:
* Assist in the analysis, design, development and implementation of projects and policy, and systems operation, to maintain & improve customer service, cost control and risk management.

Requirements :
Specification:
* Ability to identify issues and trends from information & assisting in the delivery of solutions
* Excellent understanding of how standard PC spreadsheets and data packages can be used to analyse data
* Ability to run queries, create and use databases using standard software tools and specialised data manipulation and scorecard analysis packages (Strategy Manager, SAS, Enterprise Guide, Scope, Aims Memphis)
* Handles multiple and varied tasks simultaneously in an organised manner, while still achieving milestones and meeting all targets
* Uses knowledge of Technology based Credit/Retail systems to provide creative/innovative suggestions
* Consistently looks beyond the accepted ways of doing things to provide effective and practical business solutions
* Ideally a third level qualification in a numerical or finance discipline
