A Europe based technology group is looking for a senior in-house accountant to work in their Atlanta subsidiary.
JOB TITLE
Senior Accountant
POSITION OVERVIEW
To perform professional accounting work requiring a general knowledge of accounting systems, practices and principles; and to record and report financial transaction, review accounting records, and prepare financial reports and analyses for Local Structure in conjunction with Headquarters and local server..
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Responsible for active and passive invoice flow (collection, authorisation, payment and registration)
Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
Liaises, controls and manages the local accounting server in relation to: payment flow, tax, fiscal and accounting flow, cost and revenue booking and monthly accounting report preparation
Management of travel expenses in relation to approval flow, collection of receipts and registration of cost.
Management of credit card and bank account in collaboration with local server and HQ.
Is responsible for the administration of the petty cash, local archives and daily running of the office from an accounting point of view.
Acts as the referent point for all matters relating to purchase of company assets and is responsible for asset register management.
Keeps abreast of laws and regulations to maintain up-to-date accounting compliance and acts as the referent point for all Russian accounting and fiscal matters.
Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
At least 5 years experience in Accounting: management of invoices, management of payment procedures and accounting items, drawing the balance sheet, control of travel reimbursement;
Independently apply general accounting principles and practices to the analysis and resolution of specific accounting problems.
Knowledge of SAP\accounting module is highly regarded
